giiyong festival FAQs - THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Time: 10.30am to approx 8:45pm - Program commences 11am
Location: Jigamy Farm, 4381 Princes Highway, Broadwater via Pambula NSW 2549
11km South of Pambula.
Ticket prices - $35 adults + booking fee, $25 concession + booking fee, Aboriginal community Elders FREE, U18s Free
ENTRY IS BY TICKET ONLY purchase online at https://events.humanitix.com/giiyong-festival-2024/tickets for faster entry. Tickets may be purchased at the gate. EFTPOS available. Cash welcome and encouraged.
Are there activity for kids? Of course - there are plenty of things for kids to get involved in, including the Kids’ Disco in the evening in the Bunaan Ring, hands on weaving and painting, Sean Choolburra show. Please not that the evening program from 6pm contains artists who may use explicit language and themes in their performance. Parental discretion recommended.
Do I need to bring cash? YES PLEASE. Most stalls have EFTPOS available but the mobile service can by a bit dodgy during peak times. To avoid disappointment please bring cash.
Are there buses? No
Can I bring my dog? Please DO NOT bring your dog (you will be refused entry), nor leave it in the car in the car park. Registered assistance dogs are fine.
Can I camp? Unfortunately this year there is NO CAMPING other than for artists and vendors. Please see https://www.giiyong.com.au/stay for suggestions on places to stay.
What should I bring? Please bring a camping chair or similar if you plan to hang around the main stage for extended periods. Picnic blankets are great too. Also bring hat and sunscreen. Bring cash. Be prepared for cooler weather in the evening.
Is there undercover seating? There is shade at the main stage and the food village. There is also very limited seating provided. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own camping chair.
Is there plenty of parking? Yes, but be mindful of the environment and consider travelling with friends.
Is there accessible parking? Yes, we will try to get you as close as possible to the action. Please enquire with gate staff when you enter.
Is there accessible transport? Yes, there is a golf cart running regularly to and from the main gate and main stage for those who need assistance.
Are there accessible toilets? Accessible toilets are located in the Keeping Place and the Twofold administration building - see map.
Can I bring alcohol or buy alcohol on-site? No, This is a drug and alcohol free event. Bags will be randomly searched upon entry.
Can I just turn up and set up a stall or busk? No, please contact us if you wish to do this and we might be able to help you out, but at this late stage it may not be possible.
BE RESPECTFUL OF THE LAND ON WHICH WE GATHER - put your rubbish in bins provided
