DEUA DURAYA DANCERS

Deua Duraya Dancers are all Indigenous women from the Brinja Yuin ( meaning swamp/river people) within the Walbunja of the Yuin Nation.

Deua Duraya have collaborated with the Djaadjawan Dancers to learn and stregthen their culture on country. They have performed at several events like the Big Day Out NAIDOC Celebration at Mogo & Mt Druitt NAIDOC Celebration. They will now have the opportunity to showcase song and dance at this year's Giiyong Festival alongside their neighbouring sistas the Bega River Dancers and the Duurunu Miru from Eden.

These women show strength when they dance. Confirmation and support from their Elders has giving them the passage to continue and represent their communities at major events.
